osesp 2004
From 2003 to 2007, Maquina Estúdio was responsible for the visual communication of the OSESP (São Paulo State Sym- phony). During this period we created a series of over 300 posters. Our goal was to draw parallels between music and images, without ever using images typically associated with classical music. Musical notation, composers, concert halls
and musical instruments were all banned from our array of pictures. The conductor and artistic director John Neschling gave us total freedom and the studio fell into a crazy routine of devout experimentation and very tight deadlines. The post- ers were digitally printed in large format and were displayed in the foyer of the Sala São Paulo concert hall.
